Behind the Music

Sweating Bullets is not just a cover band. They play well known blues songs in their own interpretations and arrangements. All of the members have many years of stage experience and have worked on multiple music projects before they found each other. Sweating Bullets  started with Andreas Gloor and  his idea to form a Blues band in the Rigaud region . Andy (short for Andreas) is the Bandleader. He plays piano and organ (sometimes both at the same time). He found Nick Starinsky their guitarist and Patricia Ouellet their lead singer. Andy and Nick also played summer 2016 in a Country Band with two other musicians who joint the Sweating Bullets later on. These are Bernard Brie on bass and Karlheinz Schuler on drums and vocals. Karl first joined as a bass player. Jeff Gauthier was the drummer at that time. Jeff left 2016. He pursued multiple music projects and needed more time for that. Karl took over the drums and Bernard joined on the bass.

This band plays songs in their own interpretation of music you might know from great musicians like BB King, Eric Clapton, Etta James, Koko Taylor, James Cotton, Lowell Fulson, Deb Ryder, Sena Erhardt, Tracy Nelson, Deborah Coleman etc. These are just a few of the great blues legends and artists this band has been influenced by.

The Band is also influenced by Country Artists found in the Blues Scene. Like George Strait, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride etc. The Band calls this "Country-Blues".

Summer 2017 Nick Starinsky left the Band due to his busy working schedule. He is replaced by Kashif Chaudhry. Kash comes from the Rock Scene and brought fresh wind to the Band.

In April 2019 Karlheinz Schuler decided to leave the band to have more time for his family and travel plans. He is replaced with Wayne Hollingsworth, a long time friend of Bandleader and keyboard player Andreas Gloor. He also sings background. Andy and Wayne played in several other projects, on party's and jams. Wayne plays drums for a very long time.

There is also a change with guitarist Kashif Chaudhry. Due to his heavy schedule at work and being more demanded in his private life, he has two very young children, Sweating Bullets added a "part time" guitarist. He plays with the band when Kash is not available. His name is Mike (Peppy) Lemieux. He plays guitar for many years and has a variety of stiles and songs in his repertoire. He also sings and is a positive addition to the vocal part of the band.

In July 2019 Kashif left the band for good. He could not commit to gigs anymore. Sweating Bullets found a new guitarist, replacing part time guitarist Mike Lemieux and Kashif Choudhry. His name is Frank Di Lauro. He fits the style of the band very good. His first appearance with Sweating Bullets was at the Hudson Street Fair, following the Montreal Rib Fest in Pierrefonds.

After the Hudson Street Fair 2019, Wayne (drums) left the band. For him living almost 80 Kilometers away, it became too complicated to come on a weekly base to Rigaud. Right now Sweating Bullets plays with friends sitting in at the drums and seeks a new drummer.

After playing a few more gigs, Frank DiLauro decided to leave the band. The style of Sweating Bullets did not fulfill his musical desire. Those member changes and playing with substitutes triggered the end of this formation.

Per November 10th the existing formation is dissolved and Andreas Gloor reorganizes the band and will add new band members.

Presently the band is on a brake.
